Welcome to Concepts
Design
“Homes of the future will create less negative impact on the environment, than at any time in our history; they will be quieter, warmer, greener, and create less waste. It’s an exciting time to make a difference.
Hi, I'm Vaughan Priddey, architectural designer from Concepts Architectural Design in Hamilton, Waikato. Our mission is to create you a home that you will love for decades to come. We are an award winning practice specialising in sustainable design, and offer our clients the latest 3D home design concepts.
Please linger on our site, read about or design philosophies, and our commitment to sustainability. We have a gallery for you to look through, featuring residential houses, renovations and interiors.
Please contact us to talk through your project, we look forward to hearing from you.”

Our Philosophy
Concepts Architectural Design aims to provide creative and unique
architectural designs. Our philosophy involves listening to the
client, attending to their needs and requirements, rather than
creating what we think is best.
We intend to provide a service to the client. As well as listening
to the brief, we endeavour to complete the various stages as quickly
as the client requires. The goal is to keep the project continually
moving and the enthusiasm flowing. Essentially we want the client
to be in control of the project, achieving their goals and requirements.
Our residential designs are "homes" for the client,
which are comfortable and enjoyable to live in, while removing
the compromises, which may be required with a restrictive site
or budget. We create designs that maximise the potential of any
site, while respecting the environment that it is within.

"This is the second design project that Vaughan has undertaken for us and truth be told may not the last.
We find Vaughan very easy going, approachable and pleasant to deal with. He did not impose his ideas on us at the expense of our own ideas. Having said he is open and honest about how he saw our ideas fitting into the overall design of the project... Any points of difference were easily discussed and new features willingly incorporated provided this did not distract from the overall feel and flow of the house.
While the house is large it is very easy to live in and flows well with the entrance way being the axis of the house. The main living area, formal lounge and dining and gym have a smooth outdoor /indoor flow – a feature that was very important to us.
Vaughan captured the rural surrounds extremely well and from every window in the house the rural view is fully appreciated.
We have a house that we feel very proud to be the owners of and house that we love living in."
